A Place to Keep Creating

I came to New York from Lisbon, Portugal with a full itinerary, but Midtown Manhattan became the part of the trip I kept returning to.

I entered the gallery looking for inspiration and found it in the quiet between the rooms. With a sketchbook open, I stopped trying to make every line perfect and began paying attention instead. New York can challenge creativity, but it can also renew it. That afternoon became a promise to protect the part of herself that notices, imagines, and makes.
