We came to New York from Cairo, Egypt with a full itinerary, but Central Park became the part of the trip we kept talking about.
The city was moving at its usual pace, but beneath the trees in Central Park, the afternoon belonged to one family. A blanket, a few favorite snacks, and nowhere else we needed to be. Love sometimes looks this simple: listening closely, laughing freely, and giving one another the gift of an unhurried day. New York became the background to a memory we would carry long after the picnic was packed away.
