Milo’s Morning Walk

I came to New York from Lagos, Nigeria with a full itinerary, but Brooklyn Heights Promenade became the part of the trip I kept returning to.

Before the neighborhood fully woke, Milo and mine person reached the promenade. The skyline was soft in the early light, the paths were quiet, and there was time for every curious pause. A life with a pet is made from small rituals like this—familiar streets, shared seasons, and a loyal companion who makes New York feel more like home.
