During residency, New York was always a plan for later. When the schedule finally opened, I took the first train from Boston and walked to the library before checking into the hotel.
I wanted one photograph that did not hide who I was or why the weekend mattered. The city gave me a beautiful background, but the real story is that I finally made room for my own life.
